You and your pet are important to us and because we are committed to providing the best healthcare for your pets, our vets will be available for you on-call 24/7 when you need us most.

 We run our emergency service to ensure that your pets (our patients), will be seen by your own vets who are familiar with your pets during an emergency. At Pet Universe we have with full access to your medical histories and test results as well as a fully equipped state-of- the-art veterinary hospital with in-house blood testing laboratory, x-ray facilities, diagnostic ultrasound, flexible endoscope and fully equipped operating theatre.

 Please note that you must have your vaccinations and current veterinary care performed at Pet Universe to qualify as a patient. Thorough examinations and current medical histories is critical to being able to provide a tailored treatment for your pet during an emergency.

 Pet Universe may also see other animals that are not our patients but we reserve the right to redirect those pets to alternative veterinary emergency centres or their own vets as required.

 We reserve the right to redirect clients to alternative emergency centres where necessary for the best interest/care of the pet. Reasons for this will be at the on-call veterinarian’s discretion and could include but are not limited to

1.      Any unacceptable delay in seeing the emergency e.g. already attending another emergency and unable to take time to triage another patient or delay due to travelling time.

2.      The on-call veterinarian’s concern for personal or practice safety or security.

3.      Non registered patient-see above

Pet Universe is dedicated to animal welfare and will attend all immediate life-threatening patients where no other options are available to administer first aid care, control pain and even euthanasia for animal welfare considerations. This has always been our commitment to animals we have dedicated our lives to serving.

 Please be aware that we require full payment or a substantial deposit when seen in emergency. We accept cash, all credit card and eftpos except Diners Club and American express.
